MEDFORD, MA (January 31, 2026) -- The No. 11 Tufts University women's squash team celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday afternoon, as the Jumbos won the first five matches while cruising to a 6-3 win over No. 16 Williams College in action from Tufts Squash Center.
The afternoon started with a touching ceremony for the team's two seniors in
Vharsha Dinesh and
Mafi Pinot, followed by some strong play by the Jumbos throughout the lineup.
Dinesh had won her last three matches in dual matches coming in, and upped the unbeaten streak to four with a commanding win at No. 1 over Rhea Pandit 11-3, 11-9 and 11-6.
Maria Arseniev dropped her No. 2 match 11-8, 15-13 and 11-5 to Melanie Wang, but first-year
Ella Hill was a three-game winner over Rachel Miller at No. 2 11-5, 11-9 and 11-5.
Sophomore
Sohni Vermani needed just three games to earn an 11-9, 11-3 and 11-6 win over Frances Brooks at No. 4, while classmate
Anika Goyal knocked off Roshni Pal 13-11, 11-7 and 11-4 at the No. 5 spot.
Indira Moshi topped Mahika Gupta 13-15, 11-5, 11-4 and 11-7 at No. 8, while
Anika Parr chalked up a clean three-game win with identical scores of 11-8, 11-8 and 11-8.
Pinot would also get a three-game victory in her Senior Day match, topping Annie Chang 11-8, 11-7 and 11-8 in the No. 10 exhibition spot.
The Jumbos have now won five of their last seven, and will look to continue that momentum Sunday at noon against No. 14 Middlebury College inside Tufts Squash Center.
