The Tufts University SAAC serves as a voice for student-athletes within the Tufts Community. The SAAC serves as a vehicle to enhance the interests of students-athletes to the administration. The goal of the SAAC is to provide communication between athletes, coaches and administration, to enrich the Tufts community, and foster a positive student-athlete image and experience.

Current Initiatives:
Â
Play for P.I.N.K: Tufts athletics annually participates in a Play for P.I.N.K fundraiser to support Living Beyond Breast Cancer. For more information visit:

Â
Mental Health Awareness Week: To encourage athletes to prioritize their mental health, SAAC is organizing a mental health awareness week with activities including yoga, meditation, guest speakers, and more! Throughout the week, we hope to promote all of the available mental health resources on campus.
Â
Special Olympics: Special Olympics Massachusetts is an organization whose goal is to foster a more inclusive environment in athletics for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This year, SAAC is working toward planning a Special Olympics event at Tufts and increasing our involvement with the organization through volunteering.
Â
Fan the Fire: Fan the Fire is a SAAC initiative to increase school spirit in the Tufts athletic community. Through community development, we will encourage student athletes to support each other at home athletics competitions and celebrate Jumbo pride.
Â
Brother / Sister Teams: Each varsity athletic team on campus works closely with their brother/sister team to organize service events / fundraisers to support the Medford / Somerville community.
