MEDFORD, MA (February 1, 2026) -- The No. 11 Tufts University women's squash team turned in a dominant showing on Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 14 Middlebury, 8-1, at the Tufts Squash Center.
The Jumbos opened the match with a straight-game victory at the No. 3 position, as Ella Hill defeated Izzy Ronda to put Tufts on the board. Momentum continued at No. 4, where Sohni Vermani followed with a decisive three-game win over Sabrina Schwarz. Hill has won three straight matches, while Vermani is now 5-1 on the season.
Tufts extended its lead at No. 8 behind Indira Moshi, who earned a hard-fought straight-game victory, highlighted by a 12-10 third game. Moshi continues to have a strong sophomore campaign, as she is 7-3 on the year
At the top of the order, Vharsha Dinesh delivered a commanding performance at No. 1, winning in three games to further separate the Jumbos. Dinesh won her fifth straight match in dual matches, improving to 6-3 on the campaign.
The Jumbos added another point at No. 5 as Anika Goyal posted a straight-game win over Mariana Reedich for her ninth win of the year, a team-high.
Middlebury earned its lone point of the match at No. 7, but Tufts responded quickly as Chloe Bergam secured a three-game victory at No. 6.
One of the most competitive matches of the afternoon came at No. 2, where Maria Arseniev battled through five games to defeat Aanvi Anand, closing out the match with an 11-4 decision in the fifth.
Anika Parr capped the scoring at No. 9 with a four-game win to seal the 8-1 result.
Tufts will travel to Dartmouth College next Sunday for a battle against the Big Green in the final regular season match of 2025-26.
