CAMBRIDGE - The Tufts University men's squash team lost 9-0 to Connecticut College in the semi-final round of the Conroy Cup division at the College Squash Association Team Championships on Saturday afternoon. The match was played at MIT.
The Camels, seeded second in the bracket and 26th overall, advance to the Conroy final against Hobart on Sunday at noon. Tufts, the 3/27 seed, drops into the consolation bracket, where they will play for fifth place against Georgetown on Sunday morning at Harvard.
Tufts played very competitively against Connecticut College, including five matches lost in four games. Senior #1 Alex Gross (Washington, DC), senior #2 Ben Rind (Rockville, MD), senior #4 Andrew Kim (Wayland, MA), freshman #6 Jeremy Ho (Reston, VA) and freshman #9 Ben Briggs (Sherborn, MA) all lost in four. Rind and Kim both scored 33 points in their matches.
The Jumbos dropped to an 8-16 record with their first loss in five matches.
