Three Jumbos Honored on D3football.com All-Region Teams

MEDFORD, MA (December 7, 2023) - D3football.com released its All-Region Teams Wednesday and three Jumbos were honored. Senior receiver Jaden Richardson was selected to the first team, senior offensive guard Travis Cepalia was also named to the first team and graduate center Blair Horning was tabbed to the second team.

For Richardson and Horning this is their first time being named to the All-Region team, and for Cepalia it his second consecutive year being named to this prestigious honor.

Richardson had a very impressive season starting in all nine games. He led the team and was second for NESCAC in touchdowns with 13, and led the team and was third in the NESCAC with 830 receiving yards, averaging 5.1 catches per game with 18 yards per catch and 92.2 yards per game. He recorded five multi-touchdown games which led all NESCAC receivers. He also had three games over 100 yards. His best game came against Williams College where he had three touchdowns and 158 yards on 10 receptions. He was also named to the All-NESCAC first team and also was awarded the NESCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year for 2023. He finished his career as a Jumbo with 20 touchdowns which breaks the school record. His 13 touchdowns this season makes him second all-time  as a Jumbo.

Cepalia and Horning were a staples on the Jumbos' offensive line this season. The Jumbo offense was very explosive this season, with the play of the offensive line setting the tone. The Jumbos' 420.4 yards per game was ranked second in the NESCAC as was their 31.1 points per game. They also blocked for junior running back Chartellis Reece, who led the NESCAC in rushing with 808 yards and scored eight touchdowns. The pair also protected quarterback Michael Berluti all season, which led Berluti to throw for 19 touchdowns for 2020 yards which was ranked third among NESCAC quarterbacks.

Head coach Jay Civetti's Jumbos finished 6-3 on the season, with a third place finish in the NESCAC.
