MEDFORD, MA (November 19, 2025) -- The Tufts University football team earned six All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) players with the release of the postseason teams, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Tufts picked up one All-NESCAC performer in place kicker
Vaughn Seelicke, while the Jumbos picked up five players on the Second Team in offensive lineman
Brad Abbott, wide receiver
Henry Fleckner, defensive lineman
Vince Gilchrist, defensive back
Cameron Pineda and return specialist
Keller Rogers.
Seelicke had a solid finish to his record book career for the Jumbos, as he finished 8-of-9 on field goals during his senior season while making all 22 of his extra point attempts. For his career, he finished as the Tufts football all-time leading scorer with 219 points in his career, including 64 as a junior. He ended his career as the all-time leader at Tufts in field goals made, extra points made and field goals in a game with three multiple times.
Fleckner was the go-to receiver for the Jumbos in big spots this season, as he was a weapon on third downs. For the year, he pulled in 33 balls for 505 yards and two scores. He had a season-high 124 yards on seven catches against Williams on October 25, and also had seven receptions for 98 yards in a win at Hamilton on October 18.
Abbott was the anchor for the Tufts offensive line as the Jumbos, as Tufts had one of the best rushing attacks in the league. Abbott played in all nine games for Tufts, helping lead the way for junior running back
Christian Shapiro, who broke the school record for consecutive games with a rushing score at eight.
Gilchrist was a team captain and a leader for the Jumbos defensive line, playing in all nine games for the Jumbos while making 24 stops while adding a tackle for loss and an interception in the season-opening win over Bowdoin. He posted a career-high 10 tackles against Bates October 11, while also blocking an extra point in that game.
Pineda was an impact player as a sophomore, playing in all nine games, making 36 tackles while adding 1.5 tackles for loss and three interceptions. His pick-six against Wesleyan University was a turning point in a 22-20 win over the eventual NESCAC champions, while he added picks against Amherst College and Trinity College as well. He added a career-high eight tackles in that game against Wesleyan, earning NESCAC Player of the Week.
Rogers was a weapon on kick returns for the Jumbos, as he posted 390 yards on 15 kick-off returns, including a season-long of 71 against Wesleyan University in a 22-20 win. He also had a 62-yard return against Trinity, leading the NESCAC in kick return average at 26.0 yards per return.
Conference coaches selected Wesleyan junior Matt Fitzsimons as the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Year, while seniors Kemit Fisher of Amherst and Dylan Connors of Wesleyan shared the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year honor. Wesleyan first-year Donte Kelly was named NESCAC Rookie of the Year and the league coaches selected the Colby staff as the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year. The All-NESCAC teams were selected via a vote of the 10 conference head coaches.
