Women's Sailing Places 10th at Boston University's President's Trophy

BOSTON - Light wind hampered competitive sailing venues across New England over the weekend, including on the Charles River in Boston where the Tufts women's team raced in the President's Trophy hosted by Boston University.

Saturday racing was canceled due to a lack of wind and just three races were started on Sunday. Tufts finished 10th out of 14 teams at the regatta with a combined total of 49.

The Tufts B dingy of sophomore skipper MaryClaire Kiernan with senior crew Caitlin Durand was eighth in their division with finishes totaling to 21. Their third-place in the third race was the best Jumbo finish of the day.

In A Division, the Jumbos were 12th with senior skipper Kate Levinson and senior crew Emily Lynn compiling a 28 score.

Yale won the abbreviated competition with a 25 score.
