Ryan Jenei



Ryan Jenei joined the Tufts University men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2026.

Jenei comes to Tufts after serving as an assistant coach at Colby College during the 2025-26 season. At Colby, he contributed to all aspects of the program, including player development, on-court instruction, recruiting, opponent scouting, and day-to-day program operations.

Prior to Colby, Jenei served as an assistant coach at Oglethorpe University from 2023-25, where he played an integral role in player development, on-court instruction, opponent scouting, recruiting, social media coordination, and strength and conditioning oversight.

Jenei began his coaching career at Oglethorpe after a successful five-year playing career with the Stormy Petrels from 2018-23. He appeared in 119 games and totaled 856 points, 443 rebounds, 143 assists, and 74 steals, finishing ninth all-time at Oglethorpe in three-pointers made. A consistent academic performer, he earned Southern Athletic Association Academic All-Conference honors in each of his five seasons.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Jenei has extensive experience in youth and grassroots basketball. Beginning in 2023, he served as a coach and Assistant General Manager for Redline Basketball Club UA Rise, helping grow the organization from eight to 16 teams ranging from fourth through 11th grade. Jenei has further developed his coaching background through basketball camps at Oglethorpe University, Emory University, Belmont University, Samford University, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oglethorpe University in 2022 and also holds a certificate in Business Analytics.
