PRIOR TO TUFTS: Attended University Preparatory Academy (UPrep) in Seattle, Washington, where she competed in varsity soccer and track & field. A leader in both programs, she served as captain of the varsity track & field team as a junior before being named captain of the varsity soccer team during her senior season...In addition to her high school career, she competed at the club level with Seattle United 07/08 ECNL-RL, developing against top regional competition.

PERSONAL: Parents Eddie Kung and Kristine Takamiya...one sister, Sophie...biology major...chose Tufts "for its rigorous academics, competetive athletics, and diverse urban community. I wanted to be a part of a close-knit community and pursue a liberal arts education that will allow me to explore a wide range of interests."
