2025 (Graduate Student): Made nine starts for the Jumbos...Led the team in strikeouts with 65... Broke the Tufts career strikeout record with 261, passing the previous mark of 258 set in 1997...Totaled three complete games for the second straight season...Tallied a season high 13 strikeouts in a nine inning complete game against Bates while throwing a career high 131 pitches...Struck out 11 batters in a valiant effort in the game one loss to Middlebury in the NESCAC Tournament to push him over the career strikeout record...Made six starts of 6+ innings...Closes Tufts career as one of the best starting pitchers in program history
2024 (Senior): Started in 12 games for the Jumbos...An iron force on the mound, finished the season with three complete games...Pitched 70.2 innings to lead the team...Struck out 75 batters...Allowed a .232 batting average against to lead the starting rotation...Struck out17 Bates hitters in a 7 inning complete game. Named to the 2024 All-NESCAC roster
2023 (Junior): Pitcher for the Tufts University baseball team...Started 9 of 13 appearances...Had the 4th best ERA in the NESCAC at 3.36, was 6th in opposing batting average, and tied for 1st in wins with 6 and 2nd in batters struck out at 70...Pitched 56.1 innings while facing 207 batters and only allowed 49 hits and 29 walks...Named to the All-District Academic Team...Had 7 strikeouts in 4 innings with 3 hits allowed playing Brandeis (March 8)...Went for 5.1 innings throwing 6 strikeouts against Chapman (March 25)...Had a personal high 13 strikeouts in just 6 innings allowing 4 hits facing Umass-Boston (April 12)...Tossed 7 innings against Johnson & Wales (RI) with 12 strikeouts (April 18)...Punched out 8 over 7 innings allowing just 3 hits playing Colby (April 29)...Allowed 4 hits in 6 innings with 10 strikeouts in the NESCAC Tournament against Middlebury (May 13)...Had 3 strikeouts in the NCAA Tournament facing Mitchell (May 19)...Tufts finished 31-11 on the season, earning the 2023 NESCAC title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
2022 (Sophomore): Named to the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team...Appeared in 11 games with one start for the Jumbos...Pitched 19.1 innings...Had 24 strikeouts on the year...Had a season high eight strikeout in a game against Eastern Nazarene on April 4th.
2021 (Freshman): Appeared in nine games for the Jumbos in 2021…pitched 17 and a third with 27 strikeouts including six in two innings versus Colby on April 10th.
Before Tufts: Was on the baseball and hockey team at Brookline High School and Deerfield Academy...named the Boston Globe Division I player of the Year in 2018...selected as the Bay State Conference Carey Divsion MVP in 2018...was a Bay State Conference All-Star in 2018 and 2019...member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Chris Reed and Paige Scott Reed...has two sibling, Jasper (18) and Etta (14).
