MEDFORD, MA (May 6, 2026) – The No. 1 ranked men's lacrosse team starts its journey towards a third consecutive NCAA Title, as Tufts University will host the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Second and Third Rounds on Bello Field this Saturday and Sunday. The crew is fresh off of the program's 14th New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship win last Sunday after taking down the at the time No. 1 ranked Bowdoin College, 18-14. All three opponents the Jumbos faced in the NESCAC Tournament were all ranked within the top 15 nationally and Tufts put up at least 15 goals in each contest. Tufts will face Rhodes College Saturday afternoon at 4:30 PM in the first game of the day, while Dickinson matches up with Middlebury in the other Second Round game under the lights at 7:30 PM. The winners will battle it out on Sunday in the Third Round on Bello Field.

Tufts has matched up against Rhodes just once in program history and it was last season when the Jumbos took saw the Lynx at home in the same round of the NCAA Tournament and gathered a 15-7 victory to advance. The Jumbos have a long history with fellow NESCAC opponent Middlebury, but the Jumbos have only met up with Dickinson once and that was in last years NCAA National Championship game when Tufts took a commanding 25-8 at Gillette Stadium to bring home the National Title. The Panthers hold a slight advantage in the all-time record at 34-29, but Tufts has taken the last seven matchups with the lowest margin of victory being four. In the most recent contest, the Jumbos captured a 21-11 victory in the NESCAC Quarterfinal Round.
A Look at the Jumbos (17-1)
Before losing to No. 2 ranked Bowdin on April 22, the Jumbos held the nation's longest win streak in all of NCAA lacrosse at 42 games. Tufts has the fifth best win percentage in all of Division II, men's lacrosse with a .944 mark and ranks fourth in scoring offense with 17.78 goals per game. The Jumbos enters the NCAA Tournament as the top seed as the team finished with the top NPI spot to end the regular season.
The high powered offense has excelled all season as four players have 36 or more goals coming into the weekend.
Jack Regnery headlines the top goal scorers with 54 goals, which ranks second in the NESCAC. He ranks third in the conference in assist with 37 to give him a total of 91 pts on the season so far which is tied for second in the NESCAC. Regnery led the conference with 177 shots on goal.
Brooks Hauser follows just behind Regnery with 53 goals, which ranks fourth in the NESCAC. The senior has scored at least one goal in 28 straight games and ranks fourth in the conference with 2.94 goals per game. Hauser currently sits in fourth in the NECSAC with 4.06 points per game.
Chase Beyer is the third best goal scorer on this Jumbo squad and is tied for seventh in the conference with 43 goals. The junior also dished out 21 assists to give him 64 points in the spring.
Garrett Kelly fills out this elite goal scoring lineup with 36 goals, which ranks 11th in the NESCAC. The midfielder ended the season with at least a goal in each of his last nine games.
Tufts ranks in the top 20 in the nation with an 8.11 average scoring margin and currently sits in 12th with a man up offense percentage of .478. Middies Kelly and
Will Emsing have been key playmakers all season with a combined 114 points as both earned All-NESCAC First Team honors for their efforts.
The Jumbos have controlled face-off play all season to dominate in games this spring, as
Victor Salcedo maintains a .596 win percentage with 137 wins in 230 total draws. The senior has paced the Jumbos with 91 total ground balls and ranks fourth in the NESCAC with 5.06 per game.
Jack Donovan ranks ninth in the conference in caused turnovers with 27 to help fuel Tufts' strong transition offense.
On the defensive end, Tufts ranks first in the NESCAC in caused turnovers with 211 which leads the nearest program in the NESCAC by 40.
Logan Lee earned himself a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team as a defenseman with 24 caused turnovers and 27 ground balls along with three assists.
Ben Frisoli also collected a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team with nine caused turnovers and 35 ground balls, he also buried six goals.
In goal,
Jack Old was named to the All-NESCAC First Team as a goalkeeper as he holds the conference's best goals against average with an 8.79 clip. The sophomore sits in fifth in the NESCAC with 178 total saves and ranks seventh with 10.47 saves per game. Old has a 16-1 record this season.
Head coach Casey D'Annolfo is in search of his third career national championship title as the leader of the Jumbos, as the 2006 Tufts graduate has an All-Time record of 162-19 and ranks third All-Time nationally in Division II men's lacrosse with a .895 winning percentage.
Others Coming To Town This Weekend
Rhodes dominated Rivier yesterday, 16-8, on the road to move on to the second round against Tufts. The Lynx have gone 13-6 this season so far and are in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. Rhodes has been unscathed on the road with a 5-1 record and are 4-2 in conference play.
The Lynx fields a dangerous offense having four players with 35 or more goals. Midfielder Gavin Nagle leads the charge with 90 total points on 46 goals and 44 assists in 18 games played. Attackman Andrew Murphy leads the team in goals with 56 goals on 93 shots on target. First Year attackman Griffin Galloway has been a spark for Rhodes with 35 goals and 27 assists. John Mori fills out this stacked offense with 45 goals and eight assists. Nagle also leads the Lynx in caused turnovers with 22 and has 41 ground balls.
Middlebury suffered a 21-11 loss to Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinal Round on April 25 and will face No. 8 Dickinson College in the NCAA Second Round at 7:30. The Panthers come into the weekend with a season record of 8-7 and are making their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Dave Campbell. Middlebury went 5-5 in conference play and are 2-5 on the road.
The Panthers' offense is led by two 20-plus goal scorers in Logan White and Will Ford. White is tied for 14th in the conference with 30 goals in 15 games played. The attackman has also recorded 18 helpers to give him 48 total points on the season. Ford has potted 22 goals this spring which ranks second on Middlebury and is the only other player besides White with double digit assists with 10. Cooper DeMallie leads midfield in scoring with 16 goals and eight assists to notch 35 total points and also has 11 ground balls. Noah Filippelli is third in the NESCAC with a .619 faceoff win percentage and sits in second in total faceoffs won with 169. Drew Drummer has been the foundation of the Middlebury defense with a conference leading 33 caused turnovers along with 30 ground balls.
Last time out, Dickinson took a heartbreaking 13-12 overtime loss to Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference Championship last Saturday. The Red Devils posted eight players on the All-Conference teams, while two of those players earned major awards as well. Junior defender Jack Deady was named the Defensive Player of the Year, while first year Drew Stark took home the Rookie of the Year honors. Joining both student-athletes on the first team is senior Sam Bunten and junior Hayden Warren. Ethan Ackerman and Ryan Backus made the second team, while Ben Monroe and Luke Whalen earned honorable mentions. Preston Boyd leads Dickinson in goal scoring as an attackman with 36 tallies and has 44 total points on the season. Ramsey Huggins is the leading point scorer overall for the Red Devils with 45 points on 27 goals and a team-leading 18 assists.
Backus is a pure faceoff specialist for the Dickinson squad with a team-leading 87 ground balls, and a faceoff win percentage of .574 and 152 total draw wins. Defensively, Warren leads the team with 33 caused turnovers and 51 ground balls. Ethan Ferret is also strong on the defensive end with 26 caused turnovers and 29 ground balls. Dickinson has held opponents to just 134 total goals throughout the spring.
