Maiwenn Kamdje had her biggest match as a Jumbo at the biggest time of the season for the Tufts University volleyball team, helping the Jumbos to a 3-2 win at No. 14 Wesleyan University and for her efforts has been named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week.
Kamdje helped Tufts secure a 3-2 victory over No. 14 Wesleyan, which was previously unbeaten in conference play, in the Jumbos' only match of the week. Kamdje posted a .371 hitting percentage on 35 attempts, recording 19 kills, four blocks (including two solo), and three digs. Her 22 points in the match led all players, marking Wesleyan's first home NESCAC loss since 2021.
The sophomore earned her first career weekly honor, while Tufts has earned three NESCAC Player of the Week awards this season, which is tied for the most in the conference this season.
Tufts takes on Bowdoin College Saturday at 7 p.m. in Cousens Gymnasium in the NESCAC Quarterfinals.
