DEDHAM, MA (May 13, 2023) -- The Tufts University women's track and field squad only had a handful of Jumbos competing on Saturday at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships, but still managed to finished fourth as a team out of over 40 Division I, II and III squads at Northeastern University.
Emma Smith finished sixth in the 400 hurdle finals, moving up two spots from her preliminary position after running a time of 1:03.99.

Hannah Neilon was third in the 800 meter run, racing to a personal-best and school record time of 2:10.43 as she improved her standing in the NCAA performance list to eighth in the country in the 800 meters.
In the triple jump,
Lia Rotti was also third after posting a mark of 12.08 meters, using her fifth jump of the afternoon to get to her final distance.
Jordan Andrew was also 15th in the triple jump after posting a leap of 10.97 meters on her final jump of the day. Tufts finished with 51 points, behind just Rhode Island College (92), UMass Amherst (75) and Northeastern (60).
Tufts will head to the MIT Qualifier on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the final chance for some Jumbos to improve their times and marks before the NCAA Championship qualifiers are announced next weekend.
