MEDFORD, MA (April 15, 2023) - Two victories by the third varsity eight led the Jumbo men's rowing team to six wins in eight races on Malden River Saturday.

James Luck combined for two very competitive 3V8 wins against Wesleyan (6:08.8 to 6:09.9) and Bates (6:17.2 to 6:23.9).
In a meeting of two of the top five varsity eights in the IRCA poll, second-ranked Tufts lost against #4 Wesleyan in a semifinal 5:47.2 to 5:51.4 for the 2000-meter course. The Jumbos then defeated the Division I UMass club team 5:58.8 to 6:27.6 in the third-place race. For Tufts coxswain

The Jumbo 2V8 saw a similar result, as they lost a semifinal to Wesleyan 6:07.0 to 6:13.9. They came back with a consolation victory against UMass 6:09.1 to 6:28.0. Tufts' line-up was

Tufts earned single wins in fourth varsity eight and a varsity 4+ race. The 4V8 timed 6:14.2 to Wesleyan's 6:34.8. In the four with coxswain race to finish the day, the Jumbos won 7:02.3 to 7:30.6 over Bates.
