SARATOGA, NY (October 29, 2022) - The Tufts men's rowing team finished its fall season with action at the Head of the Fish regatta on Saturday. The Jumbos had 12 entries in six different races during the day.
Tufts entries won both the Collegiate Single and the Collegiate/Open Pair 2 races. Senior
Ryan Hankins captured the single title, starting in the third position and passing each of the two scullers ahead of him to finish alone in front of the field in a time of 12:34.87. Tufts scullers

Drew Niles finished in fourth and seventh in the race, respectively.
The Tufts Rowing crew of
Liam Jenkins and
John Griffin also took gold in the men's pair with a time of 12:04.56. The pairing of
Alex Maykel and
Nick Kuranda won the bronze.Â
The Jumbo first varsity was fourth out of 17 teams in the Collegiate Eight 8+ race with a time of 10:19.37 behind MIT, Williams, and Wesleyan. The Jumbo eight was coxswain
Rachel Halliday with Kuranda, Landers, Griffin, Maykel,
Max Nusbaum, Hankins,
Eric Rohloff and Jenkins. Tufts also put four boats in the Collegiate 2V Eight 8+ with finishes of third, fifth, sixth and eighth out of 18 teams. The fastest Jumbo eight in the race had a 10:37.84 time.
Other Jumbo results included a runner-up place out of 15 tams in the Collegiate Frosh/Novice Eight 8+ crossing the finish line in 10:36.62. Tufts' line-up was coxswain
