BRUNSWICK - Wrapping up their fall season the women's tennis team traveled up to Bowdoin to compete in the Bowdoin Invitational Friday through Sunday. There were no brakcets, or tournament-style matches. The Jumbos just faced off in singles and doubles matches against Wellesley, Bates and Bowdoin over the course of the three days.
Combining the three days of play the Jumbos played a total of 24 singles matches, winning 17 of those. On the doubles side, there were a total of 12 doubles matches for Tufts, with the Jumbos winning nine of those.
This tournament wrapped up the fall season for Head Coach Kate Bayard's squad. The Jumbos will be back in action in the spring, as they open their season on the road in Florida for a spring break trip.
