First-year Emily Morris (Wolcott, CT) hit her third home run of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning, and classmate Caitie Benoit (Williamstown, MA) had a two-out single in the first inning for the Beavers' only two hits of the game.

After leaving runners on the corners in the top of the third inning, Tufts loaded the bases in the fourth as Clair singled, Keenan was hit by a pitch with one out and sophomore Kris Parr (Austin, TX) picked up a base knock to left. Marshall then delivered with a two-run single to center, plating Clair and Keenan, for a 2-0 lead.

Cooprider hit a one-out double down the left field line in the fifth inning and two batters later, Beinecke came through with an rbi single to center as the Jumbos took a three-run lead. Morris got the Babson on the board with her two-out home run in the bottom half of the frame, cutting the lead to 3-1, but Tufts scored three times in the sixth and tacked on another trio of runs in the seventh to blow the game open.

Fournier earned her second win of the regional, striking out 10 and walking just one, to move to 20-1 on the season. She has thrown 16 innings over three games this weekend, allowing just two earned runs on eight hits while striking out 27 and walking just one.

Junior Kathleen Conway (Simsbury, CT), who had not allowed a run over her first 17 innings of the regional, took the loss for the Beavers, allowing three earned runs and seven hits over 5.1 innings. She struck out one and walked two in falling to 22-6 on the year. Junior Tess Rubega (Norwich, CT) allowed three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning and sophomore Meghan Hayes (Robbinsville, NJ) gave up one hit and recorded the final three outs for Babson.

Babson will now play either Rowan or Springfield on Sunday at 2:00pm while Tufts will await the winner of the elimination bracket and play at either 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon or at 10:00am on Monday.
