Tufts Women's Soccer Loses 2-0 at Trinity College in NESCAC Sunday Play

First-year Allie Weiller was a threat offensively for Tufts

HARTFORD – First-year forward Abbey Lake (Westport, CT) netted a goal and an assist to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 victory over the visiting Tufts University Jumbos in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afternoon.

Trinity improves to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the NESCAC with its second win in as many days, while the Jumbos drop to 1-4-1 overall and 0-4 in the league.

Lake fed sophomore midfielder Elisa Dolan (Bethesda, MD) in the 31st minute for the game-winning goal, and added an unassisted insurance tally seven minutes into the second half for her third goal of the weekend.

Bantam rookie Monica DeFiori (Manhattan Beach, CA) was stellar in goal with eight saves. The Jumbso finished with a 13-9 advantage in shots, including three on goal by first-year Allie Weiller (Katonah, NY).

 Tufts junior Kristin Wright (Austin, Texas) totaled five saves in the match.
