Early in the second half, the Bantams received a corner kick at the 55th minute. The ball was initially punched out by the keeper and cleared by senior Jamie Love-Nichols (Cortez, CO). Trinity continued the pressure though, but a crossing pass was punched out by junior keeper Phoebe Hanley (Mamaroneck, NY), who entered the match for the second half.
Love-Nichols had a chance to make it 2-0 Tufts in the 63rd minute as she made a run on the left side, but her shot was saved by a diving Pepper.
The Jumbos did get their second goal in the 80th minute on another header, this time by sophomore Anya Kaufmann (Evergreen, CO), with Stewart earning the assist. Just a few minutes later Love-Nichols had a header just miss, going over the crossbar.
Tufts ended the match with a 12-6 shot advantage, with each keeper making a single stop in the second half.
